Kaamaranga

Kaamaranga is actually a fruit. This sweet treats is given the name I think because the shape looks like it. I have a Wilton 8B nozzle so I used this nozzle to make these tasty treats ....... it looked little fat, but tastes yummy.

 Ingredients;
For the dough..
130grm plain flour
Pinch of salt
100grm butter
300ml water
4 eggs
For the sugar Syrup
1 cup sugar,
11/2 cup water,
1 inch cinnamon stick
3 cardamom

Method
Cook the sugar syrup placing all the ingredients in a saucepan until the sugar dissolve, Set aside to cool.

Place the butter and water in a medium saucepan over a low heat.

Stir occasionally with a wooden spoon when the butter starts to boil quickly put the flour into the saucepan and start mixing keep on mixing until the dough leave the sides of the pan. Take it from the flame and allow it to cool until you can touch it without pulling your hands,

Start adding the eggs, this dough have to be warm when you add the eggs,  beat well after each addition until you have a smooth paste which holds its shape.

Spoon the paste into a piping bag fitted with a big star nozzle. Pipe 4inch lengths or 2 inch lengths into the frying pan and fry until light golden brown then remove from fryer and dip in sugar syrup coating well ...serve......enjoy
